They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
When I have quoted internationally (I'm US-based), I quote in USD UNLESS they specifically call out that all pricing should be in local currency, which is rare. Most buyers are experienced in this practice. I have done quotes for several Central/South Am. countries over the past couple years and all have been in USD.

Now should you vary your price based on where the buyer is? My costs to develop and deploy are relatively fixed. So I can't vary my pricing. Some might be able to based on lower transportation, implementation, etc. costs.

We sell both hardware and software to a ton of countries, North America obvi being our largest.
I have an inside rep in Canada so totally familiar with this one. We start with USD add whatever tariffs etc are applicable then we convert from there to CAD.
Same with any international country. Their preferred currency.
We also don’t sell direct so the channel takes care of bill to ship to things.

This is similar to what our HQ does. What is your win rate in Canada? We're losing some deals and it's coming down to budget/price (public sector SaaS).

Hard to tell our win rate since a lot of our biz is necessary to function so orders come in daily we don’t even touch but actual oppys that follow the pipe we’re somewhere in the 20’s as a percentage.
Are you out of Canada?

I'm quoting in USD unless there's a specific request to do otherwise (looking at you, Canada).
Of course some markets are more sensitive to pricing, but those markets generally aren't yet looking at major solutions like mine. That said, if we mutually agree that we'd like to do business, if there's a reasonable accommodation that can be made that is going to be satisfactory to both sides, that's where we may land. Negotiation is very much a valid tactic.
