SDR / AE base down under

hey degenerates,
what are people getting as a base / OTE at the moment in Australia in SaaS? is it on par with the Bravado salaries report for the US? and are most people still allowed to work remote if they choose?

Hey there, APAC BDR here i've worked for both Australia non remote and ANZ remote globally companies.

Australia BDR wages I made 65k Base + flat bonus of 3.7k AUD every 3 months. Total comp package of 95k (but that's like all of HR's "Perks" and such)

No remote option available for that job, I left because of that, now based in NZ where I make 33k USD base + 22k Comp, a lot less than what I was making at the old company.

But I got shares in my company and we went public last year, so in the long run these shares will vastly outweigh the old salary + I can work anywhere in the world as long as i'm hitting quota so I'm jetting off to Thailand for a few months with the GF in March. Would prefer this role over the first one in terms of lifestyle, But compensation is only one part not a big fan of all remote culture, it can be isolating at times.

Khob khun Sarge!
That trip sounds like a great idea. Hours aren’t too different and a 10th of the cost in living which means more money for pool side beers

I think if we shout "AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE" a few times, it will bring them out!
