No sales experience and trying to find a SAAS sales opportunity

I don't have any sales experience at all and I'd like to find a way to get into SAAS sales. So far I've been able to get interviews and make it through a couple rounds but not land any jobs. Is it feasible to get a SAAS job with no sales experience? Any advice on how to get a quality SAAS job is appreciated.

There are few companies who hire freshers (in sales) for a fresher role in SaaS role.

To back yourself up, you can definitely get some course certifications off LInkedIn. I know it’s very common and over abused these days, but would go to show the extra mile. Be very well read on what companies need from that particular role and show that you understand the responsibilities.

Reach out to hiring managers / HR before hand and mention that you’re doing your due diligence to cover up for lack of experience.

I am not very sure if companies hire non-sales people in a role above fresher role. Maybe other savages can help there.

focus on companies that solve problems in industries that you have prior experience in. Bonus points if you've ever held a position that directly would have benefited from their solution.

You may not be able to speak to any sales experience but you can definitely focus on your understanding of the industry and value provided by their product. There's a lot of value there.

There are a few (well, more than a few) threads on finding a job, finding a SaaS job, and how to apply & interview for BDR/SDR roles. You'll probably find those helpful, so search for those and read through them.

Good luck!

I recommend SV Academy. I personally know around 4-5 ppl who got BDR/AE jobs from it.
