Starting second sales job

today I juggled hitting 7/10ths of quota in a day with onboarding for another role as a founding BDR with back to back meetings juggling laptops

attending one meeting for one company and updating salesforce for another while talking strategy for SDR

joined a lucrative pre-series A company in a new space set to grow like crazy

im in sales for money, can you blame me?

i hit quota easily in about a week/month at my first gig in a stealth company so I figured why not bank an extra 150k a year with the second?

yes, two laptops, two calendars, and a slew of calendar wizardry.

lmao i know its a terrible idea but I want to try it because getting to the 100k a year mark has been a big goal of mine and this was the easiest way to do it for now

I have not checked that out, one of my sales jobs uses no linkedIn so I am going to just add my second sales role to my linkedIn itll show how I can do both and ill be even more attractive to potential opps right lol

As long as I can still do my job in the first one and hit kpi’s they dont care

Don’t blame you, have had the thought myself.

I still don’t understand how you manage the LinkedIn thing, since as far as I know basically any manager (at least in SaaS) would require you to be on LinkedIn and would want to connect with you and have you post company content.

What happens when you don’t do that or he finds your profile with a different job?

This is very common in IT jobs, but they are often not on LinkedIn, so I can see how they make it work.

So one of my jobs we literally never use linkedin, Because we are stealth we dont share info or talk about the company publicly, we just cold call people and get them to a meeting and its a short close.

Multiple people in the company have their own side hustles, even whole restaraunts and stuff like that. As long as you are hitting quota they dont care what you do with your time

The hiring process was fairly simple, just like any other interview I just said I wanted to make more money but not that I wanted to quit ever

Fears of double booking myself for meetings or managers finding out and firing me therefore but hey Ill still have one job at the end of the day

Hell yeah it relaxes me to make it and yeah something about it helps me stay organized calm cool and collected, I usually end up looking at it too when handling objections for some reason and its super calming

Industries are completely different, i can not sell both products to the same prospect lmao. I can use some if the same resources to reach prospects from both though! Combined technstack for the win!!!

That not being the case, I'll be living vicariously through you so please update on any issues with the double life or near misses, and what I assume will end up with hilarity as you have to be on 2 worthless sales team calls at the same time.

We only get a certain amount of leads to work each month and I max those out already, the extra effort to get to 200% of quota isnt worth it for the additional commission plus they would just change up our comp plan sooner than and I dont want to encourage that
