Struggling to find a new sales role. Am i just that under qualified?

Hey guys. So i'm 23 years old and i've worked sales for a couple years now in a handful of different niche and companies (mostly smaller). I'm looking to expand and grow find the next step up in my career but i'm struggling immensely. I'd be happy to share my qualifications and approach to see if it's just that i'm going about it wrong but i'd love some advice or where to look or how i can improve myself or my odds or landing a position to take that next step !

The formatting of that document looks great. Kudos. The content, however, doesn’t read like a sales resume. Are you a salesperson or a marketer? Maybe a salesperson who sells marketing? I’m on to the next candidate.

Call yourself a results driven SALES professional who does x and y. Maybe replace the word summary with Accomplished Sales Professional. Then tailor the rest to match. The top line of each job section has to pop. It should say “closed this” or “attained x % of quota.”

You just need to present yourself in one lane. These dual purpose, catch all ops, resumes don’t get a serious look when employers are looking for one particular match. If you want a sales job, sell yourself as a seller.

Definitely tailor to role and cut down the summary. Numbers are key.

Summary - no one’s gonna read that. You need to sell yourself better.

at age 23, you should have a resume that’s longer than 1 page.

And don’t take this wrong, but if your formal education is limited to a GED, better to leave education off your resume entirely.

Finally, in sales, your skills matter less than your accomplishments. Focus on those and put them in your summary.

Post a redacted resume.

Summary is way too long.

Not a single revenue number accounted

Lacks inputs to outputs flow

No revenue numbers, too verbose and long. It's reading like a story, not like a resume with sales numbers.
You can try more on crisp liners, pointers involving how much you have build as a pipeline and closed so far ( if you have), if you have mentored anyone etc etc.

Skills could be just one two words long, direct and crisp. Your "skills" section too has a lot of words that take away the limelight from the important keywords.

The document format looks good. Appreciation but not the same as a content sales resume. Are you a seller or marketer? Maybe a marketing salesperson? I went to another candidate.

It’s tough out there, keep at it. You’ll land that growth opportunity.

I mean you could always just put in your high school jobs and such and start applying to SDR roles, and put in a gap year and say you traveled around France or something have some about knowledge about the country and try this thing called lying. Mainly bc your experience suggests you could’ve been bad at your job and got fired or that you’re a job hopper.
