The Monday Thread - mid month edition

As the first day of the week dwindles down, it’s time to check in and see where we find ourselves after completing 20% of the week. 


Secured a meeting with a prospect that has been ghosting me for weeks, and rekindled an old customer that left. Headed on a road today until Thursday.

Only one internal meeting so far today, and came in to a shit storm from people's (customers) stuff getting stolen over the weekend.  So all in all a pretty standard Monday of trying to solve peoples issues.

Exactly, just a pain in the ass with having to submit invoices to them for their insurance claims and then processing replacement orders. Whole lot of admin work but still sales are sales and it pads my quota each month. Got to love crackheads and their need to steal stuff to pawn.

Had a strong first interview with the hiring manager who told me he nodded his head so much reviewing my resume that he had to break from his norm and go first. We went well over time, which is a good sign and I’m moving forward in the process.
Today I didn’t even have to use my AK. I’d have to say it was a good day.

Have three agreements out in the wild, one of which the customer wants to have executed by end of month (and we are in a sprint to get there), another is in terminal redline with company corporate, and the third has just been started.  Got another I'm going to route this week.  These will make my number for the year, my first year here, provided all come in.  Plus I have a couple others I'm chasing that could be pulled into the year and make up a deficit caused by another rep's unexpected loss.  So, I'm busy, and it's all date critical.

And I have an internal KR that has to be done by end of month...and it's ridiculous, so I'm very irritated.  We are behind in our corporate goal for the year...and you want me spending my time where?   Spending hours on something I will never, ever use again once I've checked this box?
