Question

hey Savages - following up with my previous post, we are currently transitioning to a mixed role, where Account Managers (AMs) and Account Executives (AE), will merge into a new role named Customer Success Manager.

In that sense, we are taking a mix of training to acquire the other's role knowledge in some sort of fast-track project compelled in this platform called the sales bar - not sponsored -

Have you heard of it? Any opinions or thoughts you have?

I don't know enough to give feedback on this, but the lady in that intro video seems to be ridiculously low on energy.

I personally don't like it. As someone who came from a huge entity that had sales and account management combined for the same role, it lead to various friction issues when either obtaining new customers or retaining existing ones. Especially, when you're trying to evaluate someone compared to their peers. Let's say Jeff has done a great job of bringing on new customers but sadly had 2 of his largest churn. But Rebecca hasn't brought on any new customers since January but she's at 90% of the goal for retaining her top accounts. How do you measure that equitably when there are different drivers at play?
