Video messaging

I've considered using more bideo outreach into my cold outbound prospecting, to make messaging to prospects more personalized. currently I've used the idea of holding up a white board with the prospects name, and haven't had much of a open or response rate.

Any recommendations for Video messaging or tips, for outbound prospecting.

Thanks!

Video prospecting: A seller’s best intentions wrapped in cringe. Stay true to your value prop and keep dialing.

Create a stock video that is 15 seconds long. Intro you, intro your company, and cry directly into the camera.

Video is great for follow up but totally unnecessary for cold prospecting.

For outbound: Hard work brings good luck in sales.

Anything and everything works - depending on when, whom, and how you reach out.

Video prospecting has not given me any amazing results over the years but is still worth a shot, may work for someone unexplored yet.

LinkedIn audio notes is something that you can try.

Sending creative Gifs.

Emails, calls, being creative on emails is also something you can try, having crazy subject lines and different messaging - negatively ending like “bad idea?” “Am I wrong here” etc.

Play around with your prospects comments on LinkedIn.

For what it is worth, I've seen this tried at many orgs and I have never seen it work. From a prospects standpoint, it comes off as a little weird in most case. That time is better spent trying to personalize an e-mail to the potential buyer and calling out that e-mail in a VM or direct convo

Agree. It`s also hard to pull it off. Recording videos takes a looot of time, which could be better used in messaging, emailing, dialing..

It’s the amount of time - very little bang for the buck. I accomplish more outreach via other methods.

Is your target buyer over 40? If so then steer clear of the video.

Video has been discussed extensively and most people hate it, me included.

If you want to personalize the cold outbound prospecting - make your message more relative to the person you're calling. Name drop companies and people (if you can). Find out points of pain, etc.

Pretty cringe in my experience. Recruiters have sent them to me and while I appreciate the effort it falls flat.

I don’t need to see your face, just tell me or them why your product or service could uniquely help them.

Total cringe. You either attach a very large file or want them to click a video link from some person they don’t know. Wouldn’t be prudent, not gonna do it.

Imagine you were a VP or C-suite or whoever you sell to. And you got bombarded with dozens of "15 second videos"
Do you care? Will you watch them?

Exactly.

Relevance beats personalization every time.
