Voicemail to Text

With VM to Text becoming almost a standard for many, especially for Director, VP, and C-Suite level. What are some tips or tricks to leave more effective voicemails?

Speak clearly! I assume that every voicemail I leave now will be read vs. heard, so I try to annunciate a lot more and speak slower. It doesn't matter how long the voicemail is anymore because it's just going to be put into text.

Also, you need to hook someone. Think of this voicemail almost like a cold email and if the first sentence isn't compelling, they're deleting it. Gone are the days of leaving your phone number FIRST like people used to recommend.Β

Damn, times are changing- and fast! I remember being an intern a few years ago and was told to do Name > # > Msg > Name/# again

Speaking clearly and leaving your phone number twice. Be short as well without being too descriptive. (I never listen to voicemails.. I just read them.)
