VP of sales didn’t know how to use zoom today

our VP of sales is such a boomer, he didn't know how to allow someone else to share a screen on zoom today.

When I saw the headline I was coming here to comment "What a boomer" I then read your summary and had no other creative ideas

I mean they're all pretty similar and relatively straightforward. My parents are in their eighties and don't struggle with these platforms at all.

I bet he takes those super awkward close up selfies when he's actually trying to take a normal photo with his phone. Those make me laugh 10/10 times.

Or you’re on FaceTime with him and all you can see is his forehead.

Let's not be judgmental. The VP may have used Google or just be distracted and having things on his mind, etc. Yes, it is a common tool. No, it is not a core competency for sales or management.

Shit like this is why I inherently distrust anyone with executive titles.

It's hard not to think sometimes that the C-Suite in companies is wildly divorced from the day-to-day in a company.

Yeah and I may be different but I've always felt that to be in charge and do it well you need to understand each of the responsibilities of those below you to truly lead. It may be b/c I was raised an Army brat but I always get snippy with C suites that couldn't survive doing the job they ask others do to from at least an operations understanding not necessarily a technical route.

i picture this guy to be wearing glasses on his nose and saying "hold on let me see how to do that......." while squinting and leaning forward towards the screen.

Actually very close minus the glasses but add a receding hairline and an IQ of 48

That boomer controls your livelihood so just be careful who you say that to in the real world.

On a demo as I'm typing this with my SE's, and one of the 7 prospects on the call says "what an awkward Zoom call". 🤦🏻‍♂️ Gd bless engineers

What features do you wish to add to Zoom for more effective B2B sales?
