Was that a legit holding call last night?

Yes, I am a salty Eagles fan. The salt has dried from my tears.

I feel like that call could be called on every single play.

Instead of focusing on Andy Reid's all-time adjustment at halftime, to running power sets with two TEs and shoving the ball down our throats, we get to once again talk about refs.

This one is not as bad as last year's Cincinnati phantom holding call, but why are refs insistent on making themselves the focal points of games?

/endrant.

Was that holding call legit?

Saw this, great on him to admit that. I still think it happens on over 75% of the plays. A shame he did though as Mahomes was bailing out of the play.

Agree with you that the inconsistency of calls is something that needs to be figured out, esp when holding could be called on almost every play

Yeah thatโ€™s the frustrating part. I canโ€™t delude myself into thinking it wouldโ€™ve guaranteed a different outcome though. Still an amazing game, but sullied a little bit.

Totally, I feel like itโ€™s a fine line of making the right calls without throwing a flag every play versus no flags and just letting things be somewhat of a free for all

Borderline call, but the kind of call you're going to get when you go for the TD instead of playing it safe and running the ball.

Reid put on a masterclass in that 2nd half.

Inconsistency has always been an issue - salty 49ers/Giants/Sharks fan here, plus I have a son who plays sports, so don't get me started. Call, or don't call, but the players have got to know what the game rules are.

Agreed. I would've loved for our teams to go full tilt with a healthy Brock Purdy. You have nasty talent on your squad. Looking forward to the rematch next season.

Was it a hold? yes it was a hold. Should it be called in the moment? probably not. Did it change the outcome of the game, who knows? it wasn't the difference between a FG or not and that assumes the eagles can get in FG position with no timeout. Eagles also got bailed out of a 2nd defensive TD when sanders fumbled and they ruled it not a catch.

They had 1 timeout and 1:30 left.

I stand corrected on the 1 timeout. I know about the minute 30 left. I once again reiterate the fumble and the ticky tack KC offsides that happened as well.
