What do you feel the company owes you?

Bedsides a pay check.

Hot topic right now for us. Covid messed up a lot a of typical things that we would normally do, Xmas party for example. Awards dinners … some balls have dropped and some of the reps are feeling some kind of way about it. No bonus last year (don’t even Clark Griswold me up in here bc I SO get it). Just curious to see what peeps think of this! Me personally, a thank-you/recognition means a lot along with being paid well and fairly -to others it’s a Merry Christmas/Happy New year type message from the President and about being seen and feeling like a part of a community almost - and to some it’s I don’t give a flying F*ck- Just pay me well and I won’t participate in staff events if I don’t have too.

Money mostly. Recognition of a job well done is icing on the cake, but I don't count on it. Looking at my W2 is satisfaction enough :)

This is a huge discussion at my company right now. I posted last week about competitors throwing big cash bonuses to retain talent because of Covid/inflation/lack of travel/no presidents club the last two years. We have currently done nothing. They should be cutting checks for top performers. I think we see an exodus soon to be honest.

Sounds familiar!! The lack of trips and recognition has a lot of people pretty upset. Working hard all year to earn these things and no warning or them not being followed through or replacement items (cheques for example) … really let down some of the top performers

Paycheck and then another paycheck for the money your company would’ve used on those events and parties

I like recognition and healthy competition among other reps. Extra pay is always good to!

As a remote employee, I’m not able to get to holiday parties. I’m rewarded by my paycheck.

Obviously we all want more money, but if we've been able to do our jobs remote for so long the option to continue should be given.

You don't want that Jelly of the Month bonus???
W2 and opportunity for growth are what are most important to me. I don't want to deal with bullshit policies either. (example: You HAVE to come into the office because we can't trust you if you don't!!!)

Money, the ability to expense home internet and snacks (which ultimately is money), and to be left alone and not micromanaged while working remote

Companies don’t owe you a holiday party or any of the other perks that typically occur, that’s why they are perks. At the most basic level a company is buying your time and you agree to it for x price. Much the same way that I don’t feel I owe a company any more than the job requirements I don’t feel owed perks, don’t get me wrong they are nice to have but it’s not “owed.”
