What elements does a good value prop contain?

I know this will always be a mixed bag of thoughts and ideas but I'm curious to find out what elements do you incorporate when delivering your value prop.

Historically I've had success with a short but meaningful value prop with incroparting in a item or two about their company.

Rule of thumb for me has always been to mirror prospects' email style. If they use exclamation points, then I do too. If they use emojis, then I do too. etc.
