Is it the money or do you honestly enjoy sales?

Stems from money, but I enjoy solving problems and talking to people. I also enjoy the travel.

It's the money. I honestly enjoy sales when I'm winning. Just like I honestly enjoy competing so long as I'm winning.

Sales is like sports. "It doesn't matter if you win, only if you have fun." (It's only fun if you win.)

When I'm losing it pisses me off, and its not love for the profession that drives me forward at that point. It's caffeine and hate. Until I start to win, of course, then it's all sunshine and rainbows.

Currently, it's sunshine and rainbows. So, I'm taking that momentum and driving forward to bathe in that feeling as long as possible until Mr. Hyde inevitably surfaces to drive me forward.

The money hitting the bank, the customer saying "I really loved the onboarding experience" and my mom saying "All you do is talk!" :D

Honestly though I love what I do. I love my industry and *most* of my customers. I sell neat stuff to some people doing some really cool things. I'm always working on something new and *so far* have no limit on what I can chase which keeps it interesting and helps make the lows worth it.

I get to help people build and protect their version of the American Dream, avoid the easily avoidable financial mistakes my parents made, and make a massive positive impact for the next generation.

And the money is GREAT.

I am good at it so the job itself produces a lot of self worth. I get paid shit for what I bring to the table BUT the flexibility is second to none. Really I could work 2-3 hours a day if I wanted to. I can block chunks of my day to do stuff with my kids and live my life.

There is a strange amount of stress and flexibility at the same time with sales.

the money, and the time freedom are what keep me in it.

The fact that I could make a good living without having to get an MBA or anything was what got me started.

I love the freedom.

Second best to entrepreneurship, which is the next progression from sales anyways

Teachers get paid like shit. That's why I left. If you're gonna have me educate your kids, pay me enough.

Every day is different. The dynamics of the process, the psychology needed to deal with the people and yes, the thrill of the challenge and the exhilaration of closing a deal. Absolutely love sales.
