What's the next "new" type of software?

A fairly broad question, but what do you think are some of the next "big" sofwares?

Was just thinking about something like CRM. Been around for a little while.

I sell a vertical CRM for private equity and we were flooded with leads for a few years, and quotas were hit from just inbound. Then, they all dried up. Past 3ish years, most of the industry has a specialized CRM in place and most opps are cold sourced, either in Europe (slower to adopt) or new, smaller shops.

What do you think?

AI Marketing. You plug in your desired outcome and a campaign is created.

Gawd that's gonna be awful.

Also, FWIW, salesloft has done this for free through it's labs for years: https://cadenceengine.salesloft.com/

I'm imagining more of a real marketing campaign versus an outreach cadence. Like generating ads online, where they target, who, what time, etc, all that data driven stuff but using AI to do the heavy lifting for you.

Any of your sales come from rip-and-replace?
Or from add-ons?
Are you guys still innovating on your platform (see oldcloser's comment below about AI) or are you closed off and behind?
I mean, there was a boom, but all those 2-3 year contracts come due, and if customers aren't happy with what they have, they start looking. And you want to be there. CRM isn't going away; it's going to need to evolve to better serve the market.

When your vertical CRM takes a ginormous dataset of transactional records from it's own storage, anonymizes it, and uses it to train a machine to communicate with your customers' customers in their own language, you'll have it. You'll have taught a computer your customer's customers vertical. That is next.

GPTuna will be a dead fish.

Machine learned best practices from information you already have is the answer. If nobody at your joint has considered this... worse yet, if they're thinking of adding Cherry the Chorizo eating Chatbot to your software, they're late and they've missed the point entirely.

It's almost like I sell a solution that does this... Can help if you need.

Hard to tell. I don't think it will be something truly "new" but a new name and spin on an thing that exists. Like how Gong calls revenue intelligence "conversation intelligence."

Definitely something AI related. Issue is there are so many bs AI tools that are going to make finding the real gem companies difficult

AI CRM... So in my mind it would automatically populate the comments, value maps, next steps, activities. Could happen

Most customers find their CRM is “good enough” and there’s never material pain outside of burning a ton of money trying to build a custom CRM that justifies a rip & replace. I haven’t seen anyone come on the market with a 10x feature that justifies a complete conversion. If there’s some acute problem they’re trying to solve it’s typically safer to buy a best in breed point solution to stitch onto your existing CRM. You’ll probably find more success working with a) customers that have no CRM or b) customers dumping money to an SI or dev team to build on prem or configure Salesforce for them

Just what I've been seeing... AI Marketing & Design. Sad to see it but there's now enough disruptors in this space to get a semi-successful campaign/design work while reducing companies cost centers significantly.

I’m in the cloud contact center technology space, having a hell of a time getting a second interview, and I think it’s because I am getting stuck. Instead, they do not like my response to the following question “what are your goals with this new role.” Any guidance would be appreciated.

I’ve been selling for 5+ years. Have been in selling SAAS for the last year or so. Looking for a individual sales coach to help with the transition. I see a lot of sales academy that I can buy but I’m looking for 1:1 sales coaching. Anyone have any recommendations?
