What to do if you're having a hard time being consistent?

I like what I do and the product sells well, but I continually make small oversights or forget to do a few things that really compound on each other and make it worse. Theae include not updating SF right away or forgetting to send a recap email.

Any tips or tricks to stay organized and on top of things?

First of all, you need to make the same day recap a part of your cadence. No recap means no close. Start there and add smaller goals each week.

And then when you've mastered that, tag the ever-knowledgeable Fox! She'll be able to continue to help.

In the recap (customer facing) have goals. Keeps you accountable for following up with them.

Make notes. Master the process, maybe print it out and check it off until you have it absolutely memorized.

When I was learning playbooks, I would write the playbook front to back till I had it memorized, then I'd write it last page to first till I could do that completely from memory. Then I'd write it out of order & by random pages (I would randomly write out all the numbers so I couldn't veer towards pages I recalled first) until I could put the entire playbook together from memory.

Do that, then you'll never forget. This is how you make a living, be amazing at it.

Second to this. Have a list that you go through and check every.single.time.

You may have to trial and error what works for you. People used to suggest that I block time off for certain things - “30 min for calls” “30 min for slide creation” etc. and that never worked for me. Instead I started leaving myself lists (because I fucking love crossing things off) for the times I know I’m most productive and that has worked for me, but may not work for you. Lists make me happy, maybe they will make you happy too.

I'm a list person as well.  There's nothing as satisfying as crossing something off!

I start a new list each morning and add/subtract as I go.  I'm not done until they're all finished, except for carry-over items.

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
A friend of mine who had smoked way too much weed started carrying around a little black notebook and would note down all the tasks he needed to do in that.

Opening it was an easier habit than remembering everything else.

If you're not consistent you're gonna either burn or fail.

Notes, to-do lists, habit building, you have to be able to be organized and on.

Post-it notes on your monitor after/before calls, a daily planner or agenda, fix this dude or you're gonna get burnt.

Print off what your check points would need to be post call/demo/presentation and purchase those cheap laminate sleeves and put it in there. Put that on your desk and grab and marker and then just check each one off and then can wipe it clean after you completed it for that prospect and move to the next.

I started making a to-do list and everytime I get on a meeting I keep striking off points that got covered.

If you're facing issues updating CRM why don't you dedicated sometime may be 5 mins after a call so you can do it. I sometimes updated my CRM by the ends of the day if I have back to back meetings.

If you're more visual, like I am, have a physical sheet with each step of the process that you can check off to ensure you haven't missed anything.

You just had an awesome proposal call, but everyone is going back to their busy lives. What do you do to keep that momentum alive, especially over a long sales-cycle?
