Whats the best sales training youve taken?

I've been Sandler trained but this was many years ago, I buy a book from them from time to time. Brush up on different areas here and there. I also recently took a dive into Dan Lok and found his youtube channel as well as some of his sales training helpful. However I was curious what others opinions were on different training programs and what those programs were. I can always learn more.

Honestly, i think Dan Lok is an absolute joke.

The only sales methodology ive ever appreciated is Gap selling and i havnt been formally trained on it.

Agreed, Dan Lok is a joke. He is snake oil salesman and scam artist. Just Google him and you’ll find a bunch of terrible stories.

I agree that Gap Selling by Keenan is some the best I’ve come across in recent years. It’s both accurate and pretty simple.

If you want recommendations just use the search bar and search for sales books.

Blow it up
99% of sales training is a scam or garbage.

Find a good rep at your company and follow them, read all the books/methods called out by the experienced peeps here but know that the best training is real-world experience.

Failure has taught me more than anything I've learned from watching or listening to someone else.

That you can fail a hundred times but only one success is needed to start a winning streak. Success breeds success, customers can feel you are doing well and want to work with you.

When you're short on time, focus your energies on the areas with the highest chance of success. Try not to discount long shots as well, you never know what might land a win.

None of them have been the "best" honestly. Taking bits and pieces from all of them and making them my own have worked the best.

Emphasis on discovery to identify pain and the cost of inaction. That's how you move a deal forward, not through false 'urgency'

It's realistic, applicable, and honest

Read “Never Split The Difference” and that’s pretty much all you’ll need. It’s the fine art of manipulating people to get what you want. 10/10

Joined a startup, hopped on > 10 sales calls with the CEO in the first week, kept the same pace for the first month until I started leading calls. That was the best sales training I’ve ever gotten.
