When do you cross the line calling a prospect too much?

I'm trying to find the sweet spot for pickups. Am I ripping too many dials?

I have a list of people I'll call almost every day. Is that too excessive? As I type it out, yeah it sounds like it for sure.

Trying to gauge what's an *appropriate* amount of touch points for prospects via phone.

What's the right amount?

Every day to the same person is excessive and bothersome. It will turn people off.
Same account but different contacts? Go for it.

I get super annoyed if I get several calls per day from someone I don't know, pick up thinking it's an emergency, and find out it's a bullshit call. Less is more.

Once a week isn’t too much, even twice if there are open items. It’s all about moving the ball forward with a goal set up.

I have worked for companies when I needed to dial same person once in the morning and once in the afternoon... Every day. Not saying I would do that now but it worked there. I guess until they tell you to fuck off? Just make sure you have very personalized approach and you know who they are and what does the company do. Maybe a news article or blog post if there is one.

There are certain ways to ensure they don’t know you are calling once a day…I usually call about 2-3 times a day to about 50 people but none get annoyed. If you know you know…

How many calls a week would you be okay with ? I know personalities are different and different folks react differently to things. But borderline - I wouldn’t like more than 2 calls a week from any company.
Some days, I’d get pissed even at the first call that week.

Yeah I mean I bet a lot of my prospects are getting multiple calls per day since they're all ecommerce personalities

I only call free trialers or leads the SDR team sent over. Management has instructed us that we need to make at least 50 calls a day, and if that means calling some of the same people every day or every other day then so be it. That's better than not making our 50 dials. Seems excessive to me, but apparently they don't care.

2 times a week is what i will settle for and if there are slow mover i will pace it down to 2-1-2-1 and so on.
As sales people keen to get the deal done we often forget that our prospects are have shed loads of other shit to deal with and may be genuinely wanting to make something happen with you its just not at the very top of their priority list so gentle persuasion is better in that situation rather than harassing.

I mix it up depending on if i'm calling office line, or someone's cell phone directly. Office line i'll often do up to 3 times a week, cell phone I'll only do 1 - 2 times.

Easy way to get blocked calling someone everyday.
Something like is what I followed:
Day 1 - Call
Day 3- Email referencing call with CTA or Call#2
Day 6 - Linkedin Connection request
Day 9/10 - Bump email to Day 3

Voicemails are a hit or miss. I've experimented before with "You don't need to call me back, just wanted to reference *insert subject line email" VS You can call me back at *your number".

I've never had many callbacks, but referencing the email subject line and the date I sent it does help.

Daily is excessive- so easy to get blocked and jammed into voicemail he’ll. 2-3 times a week with a different focus if your solution offers it… fits for my brain

Patience is key. Ask yourself what the potential returns are for each dial. Am I risking getting a blanket ban? Why risk it when I can simply be patient?
