Man after my own heart, you are.ย

ย Never even finished college. I got a job as a technician to learn the technicals of my trade, and moved into sales and was able to climb up pretty fast because of my self-induced technical experience. Less than 10 years later, I have moved up quite a bit.ย

Winning personality all the way. well said!

Worked in marketing for a long time and then found corporate bro's posts and kinda learned I was the enemy. Needed a change... /sย

Really though I had been told several times when I was in marketing that I would be a fit for sales and always figured I could but was scared about volatility. After working close with a sales team for years at a SaaS company I knew I had to make the switch. Money aside, it's what makes me feel the most alive and allows me to talk to strangers - legit my favorite part of this, crazy as that may sound.ย

SaaS sales is a life cheat code. I didnโ€™t go to grad school, work less than 40/hrs/week, and rake in fat stacks with unlimited PTO. I am not a top or bottom performer at my company.ย

Believe it or not, I actually enjoy helping people improve their shitty current state, solve their problems and create some positive impact.
I've been able to learn so much from talking, but mostly listening to what companies are doing or trying to achieve and it is an absolute privilege to meet a lot of really skilled and clever people every day.
The job keeps me sharp and in a constant state of learning (which I really need) and improving myself perpetually.ย
The fact that it pays well is really the icing on the cake.

I really really really like talking. Iโ€™m also an attention whore, so once I get comfortable with what Iโ€™m selling and presenting, I absolutely dig standing in front of a group of people in conf ย conference room talking up my shit and winning the crowd/deal ย :)

Data entry, CRM, and the pressure can sometimes suck ass, but a small price to pay for the overall satisfaction I get at the end of the day from doing this job.ย

Money is also nice :D
