100% Remote AE Jobs

How many of you work for a company in Sales that allows you to be 100% remote? Are you able to do your job without meeting face-to-face with clients to close a deal, while also getting paid well? Bonus for any company names who allow this.

I am remote as well. I go f2f for big closings only.

I'm 100% remote. Have been working overseas in the Republic of Georgia since March. Great country, but I miss the states so I'm moving back soon.

I'm at an early stage startup in 3rd mile delivery, with a SAAS pricing model.

Our industry is a traditionally in-person industry, but I've somehow hit quota consistently enough to keep my job and stay overseas.

I actually had something similar in mind. Does you company know that you've been overseas, and are they ok with it?

Yeah they are 100% onboard with it, as long as I am hitting my numbers.

It will largely depend on what legal and HR says - when interviewing I would confirm that working remotely out of the states is possible.

My org is small and doesn't care about the nitty gritty stuff like where we work. But for larger orgs they usually have stricter compliance for taxes.

100% remote here. Allowed to travel to customers, but have yet to do so. Many of those same customers have dispersed teams, so we are doing remote Teams meetings - and in the environment, it's become normal to have virtual meetings to get things done.
I am an EAE in software/tech sales, SaaS delivery model. Small sales team so can't name the company.

100% remote here. I enjoy it, and I would work in a remote company in the future too (hopefully). It's just fine without face-to-face meetings. I never sold before pandemic, so I don't know.
There are way too many perks of working remotely. I don't have to worry about commute anymore and that's a major one !

Yes, this 100%! I don't miss that at all, but now my company is making me come in 1 day a week. I've been able to sell virtually my whole career (although not remote until COVID), even though they told me I'd be expected to travel up to 50%. I just don't feel that is realistic or relevant anymore, but want to be sure that a company is ok with it.

100% remote. Donโ€™t need to do f-2-f meeting as most of things are accomplished virtually.

I have been 100% remote since 2019. When we need to be in the same room, it happens. Usually calls and zoom work well enough.

I am remote and travel for conferences and on occasion a large customer meeting. I'd consider my role 90-95% remote.

Iโ€™m 100% remote technically, though I go into the office most days for the free food, soda, caffeine, snacks, weight room, etc.

I consider it a massive red flag if a company does not allow remote work. To me, itโ€™s evidence that they want to micromanage you.

Completely agree. Also oftena sign of a Sales Director or CEO who is pretty uncompromising and closed-minded on what they believe sales to be. In my experience anyway

Im 100% remote and love it. Teams, facetime, zoom or whatever for the win! I have done better and been more efficient since making the transition to 100% virtual. I totally could meet with clients face to face and I do sometimes, but only when the revenue is worth it.

100% remote in SaaS in the UK. Haven't taken any hit to base or comp. Once in a blue moon I will meet a prospect in person for a big deal or if I'm in the area anyway. Prospects seem completely normalized to it. Haven't had a prospect in my nearly 2 years of being at this company require or even prefer f2f.

For big meetings or just to build a bit of trust, a f2f meeting can be good so I sometimes decide to do so. But I think the c-suite thinking of 'salespeople have to meet in person' is antiquated and has been shown pretty definitively to be incorrect in many contexts.

Personally, a job that required me to be in the office more than 1-2 days a week is a deal breaker for me for 2 reasons:

1. Rarely there is a good reason backed by objective company needs. It's more just personal preference of the leadership which indicates a management style I don't want to work under.

2. The freedom of working 100% remotely has been fantastic for both my productivity and work-life balance. I get more done because of lack of a commute and my work patterns can align with what works for me. For example, if I want to go to the gym middle of the day and then work later in the evening, I can.

We have an office in my city but since most of my team/company is 100% remote, Im only in about once a quarter. All customer stuff is done via zoom and there's never been a need to do otherwise

Remote since 1998 as IC and GTM Leader. Early on, had to do f-f, but as technology grew, have reduced travel. Only 1 f-f since covid started; I work in Healthcare Information Technology and most hospitals are still not allowing sales in. The one where we did f-f, had to get approval from the c-suite to be onsite.

All the AEs are fully remote at my company. All of our meetings with prospects are over Zoom, so when they go into the office itโ€™s purely for the change of pace from the home office.
