Account Planning

Has anyone any useful sites on where to gather info on different verticals. I recently started a new role and have been assigned Automotive, Healthcare and Start ups as the verticals I will prospect and need to find out certain info like industry trends, priorities, influences etc. on customers before reaching out.

I did this in my previous role too but I knew the vertical inside out already so didn't take as much research.

It's also tech sales if that helps but if anyone knows of any useful places to research other than linkedin sales nav that would be great!

How did you do it before?

Leverage tools like CrunchBase, Seamless or ZoomInfo, etc, to get detailed info on accounts, intent, news, technographics, etc. Use that data to fuel your pipe.

Setting up Google alerts for news related to key industry terms helps too.

Not sure "start-ups" is a vertical considering the vastly different business offerings and it will be tough to find one source for industry knowledge there but Crunchbase will be a good resource for those.

For the others, google alerts, zoominfo or other data tools will be helpful.

What are you selling? That may be the best piece of info needed to provide direction.

To this point, what you're selling will help you determine why it will make an impact for your vertical.

Absolutely agree with Caffeine, that's a good start point. You might also need Navigator to learn more about your ICP and their movement.

Feel free to STEAL this Account Plan One Pager that EVERY CRO in the world used to love.

The other good one is on the quip.com site.
