Advice on working at Crossover group of companies?

I recently applied at Crossover as Inside Sales Rep.

Their filtering processes are quite unique and I am now at the interview stage.

I had read a lot of mixed reviews about their group of companies especially on how you have to fight for your own weekly pay based on the time tracker.

Any thoughts? Or advice?

Edit: This is the introduction of their company

1) Who is Crossover Group?

2) Is it like a consulting business model where you are only paid if you are billable aka actively working?

3) What attracted you? Aka what is your โ€œwhyโ€ for applying there?

1.Crossover group of companies boasted as the pioneers of remote working. They mentioned they only hire the top 1% in the world and all employees are remote across the globe.
2. I saw a lot of the their job posting at LinkedIn. Not really sure their full business models. Not a lot of info on their company.
3. They pay a fixed rate of USD 100k/year. As someone who lives in South East Asia, that is like the top 1% income in my country.

They pay $100k but you have to fight to get paid? Howโ€™s that work?

They seem like a workforce company, yeah? As in they supply talent and you work as a contractor for the company they place you with. If youโ€™re doing it just for the money, which can be life changing, you should ask yourself if itโ€™s only improving your wallet and not your quality of life.

I've never heard of em. What do they do? Why do you want to fight for what you are owed?

Apparently how they work is by tracking each employee "activity" on the laptop. If you are not meeting the 40h per week, then you have to fight for your pay. Sounds ridiculous

I gave you a butler upvote for the explanation but also fuck that noise. That sucks.

Does the salary seem justified for having to "fight for your paycheck"? That seems like the biggest possible red flag...

Where I live, $2000/wk could afford me for a whole month

Sales by itself is almost a โ€œfight for your paycheckโ€ job, but doing it weekly? Thatโ€™s not something I would be up for

The company require to download some productivity tracker, where they track the "working hours" from your activity on the laptop. If you don't meet 40hr/wk, then you will have to fight to justify.

if you have to be fighting for your own pay EVERY WEEK why the hell would you want to work there?

I remember 3 or 4 years ago when I was trying to get out of banking I applied to one of their jobs. They had me take some kind of assessment, like an hour long test, timed, a lot of math and reading comprehension. I'm guessing I failed because a few minutes after I was done I got an email saying they weren't moving forward and I could reapply in a year.

It wasn't the worst experience. BairesDev had me take a 6 hour assessment and then ghosted.

Honestly, I would pass on Crossover.

Yeah. My gut feeling told me that this is not a good company to work. However, I will go through all their assessment until interview to see how it goes.

Mixed reviews usually means there are some honest ones and some that were fabricated by the HR department.

I have worked here - it's extremely annoying dealing with the Crossover tracking technology where they micromanage and take pictures of you randomly at 10 minute intervals along with what you have on your screen, and is used for "productivity" tracking. Their assessment test is BS too in actually trying to assess your skills - I scored the highest in the entire Crossover Group in history and specifically told them it was useless. I would definitely not recommend working there.

Not a lot of info about the company and they're the pioneers of remote working, yet they don't mention anything about what they do or what they support and you have to fight for your money owed and use a time tracker?

All the stats they are putting up to attract reps are there to lure people in. Top 1%?
Sorry, all kinds of red flags here. It would be interesting to see what they are all about, but it doesn't feel right.
