Advice to someone pivoting to SaaS Sales

Hello All,

I´m from Brazil and I had a very interesting career.

I was an entrepreneur for more than 10 years working with home automation and AV, and also lived in Europe for a couple of years working in this field.

Today I work with sales for a multinational retail company.

I would love to start working with SaaS sales – I think this is the future.

I have a very good cv and I´ve been doing some interviews, but never got the job because I have no previous experience working with SaaS.

I´m 42 and a father of 3, I´m too old to work for an SDR´s salary and too inexperienced to land an AE role.

Do you have some advice, courses, or certifications I can do to improve my chances of working in this field?

Thanks.

Thanks! Let me ask you something: Do you think getting an AWS Cloud certificate counts for something?

ummm idk really. for ME, it wouldnt matter at all.
If you would be selling or using AWS products then yes it may help.
I wouldnt have the expectation that you will be hired because you have it, but you can use that knowledge to your advantage in interviews, its a nod to your dedication for learning, that sort of thing
