I’m here for the banter.

And also the camaraderie.

And also to be able to ask my peers about their experience on any given topic in literal seconds.

Fuck off if you don’t like it.

There are some valuable posts and insights. I find that at least half of the comments are useless to just farm the “commission” to get stuff. But there are a few nuggets of great information. I guess the reason a lot of the older guard left was because of what you said, and I dropped the app for a couple of months at one point as well.

How do people who are serious about this career actually use this platform to help them? The guy that sells this says you shouldn’t buy a course. However, if that’s where the value is, that’s where I wanna be.

The value for them is in their job board, if you want to be a fractional SDR or AE. For us, we get great commentary. It’s like a sales version of Reddit.

You’re going to witness perspectives from people with a broad range of tenure and specific industry experience. It won’t all resonate with you. And that’s just normal. So take what you like and leave the rest.

If you’re looking for a community with a specific focus on teaching tech sales you might be better served taking the classes. But for specific advise on a specific part of any of it, an honest inquiry always gets an honest answer.

For me, I can learn in here. I’m interested in what’s currently working and which parts of my process might be dated. I try to offer value where I can. You stop learning, you die personally and professionally.

I guarantee your sales process will look different in 10 years. So if sales is your career choice, open ears, get and stay current. If you don’t, you’re gonna get outsold. Ask specific questions. You’ll get answers

I'm so glad I don't ask your question as I go about my daily routine. Imagine standing at the entrance to the grocery store asking customers if they get any value from browsing for groceries.

People come here for different reasons. That's life. Get used to it.

You spelled wasting wrong.

Value for me:

- Place to come with like minded individuals that acts as a place that I can share without worrying about reprecussions
- Venting and being met with others that understand
- Advice on situations
- When tech gets hot again these guys have the in for great roles
- Free shit.

I can see your point though and do respect it, hope you get something out of here

If you have any questions shoot it up and you should hear that. Remember all calls will not you give you business similarly not all the comments will add value to you but some will for sure. All the best !

There's definitely a weird component to the forums - which is one reason I like it here.

However, a question asked in order to get advice will get an honest answer. The more details the better so that people can provide better answers. There are a lot of experienced salespeople here who can provide a lot of information and advice.

There is a lot of job posts and career advice that gets passed around that is helpful. I myself am not in the Start up or SAAS industry so it’s been a learning experience for me to be a part of the discussion.

Although I agree some posts and content are more worth your time than others.

From my POV, this site provides humor, insight, motivation and a safe space to blow off some steam. Sales isn’t easy and sometimes having a community to share the wins and woes is helpful in an industry that can be a challenge.

I try to provide insight where I can in topics that I know about. Whether it resonates or helps anyone is a different story, but I always hope it does. I also like to read everyone's different perspectives, and ideally learn something along the way. Plus I like the bantz.

I use this as an unfiltered view of the tech sales landscape. Some knowledge gems here and there. Especially, for those new to the industry. But more often than not... I'm here for the shits and giggles.

I do. It's great to have an opportunity to speak with like minded people, even if the majority of them are not in my country (Australia).

If it isn't for you, find something that is.

It’s been a good place to bitch about company things that I could only do with anonymity. Some support when I got laid off was helpful, and a lot of cheers when I made my first sale with the new company, that felt good.

Sometimes a little technical help/ suggestions of how to improve, but mainly it’s been a nice support group. And it’s been great to see how helpful and positive people can be even when anonymous.

I'm here to help people with their spelling.

In your case, 'wasteing' is actually spelled wasting.
