I think Canada is still a little ways away from having in-person meetings be the norm.

To me, I donโ€™t think itโ€™ll be a regular thing unless customers request it or itโ€™s a big money dealย

Iโ€™m worried about this too. Has the pandemic fundamentally shifted the way we go about doing our jobs in sales? Iโ€™m also encountering a lot of people who are saying, sorry no outside visitors.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
One of my coworkers just did. I'm not doing that until we reach herd immunity.

yeah trying to shift back to doing more and more in person meetings. Australia's covid situation is pretty good - no new cases - so im trying to get back to doing customer lunches and spend that corporate cash!!ย

I stopped in my last job because it required travel to meet with clients. My new one has allowed me to have 3 in person meetings this past month. They were all local and we social distanced. It was so nice to be outta the house!

This is quite frustrating for us over in APAC honestly. I sell to ANZ and we have not had mass COVID outbreak for quite a while. Meanwhile since we're headquartered out of Silicon Valley, we're taking directive from USA. Management kind of forgets we're not all under their countries rules :/

I actually enjoy getting dressed up now and again. I had a few in person meetings late last year, but promised my wife I would wait until the weather stops fluctuating so rapidly. Plus, who wants to go to Nebraska in the middle of winter. Not wanting to push the conversation down this road, but in two weeks I get my second vaccine and from there itโ€™s open season for me.ย

Question to the crew-how are you overcoming the objections that companies arenโ€™t seeing people in person yet? Are you going straight to a Zoom Demo or?

I think remote is honestly the way of sales in the future
from the clients perspective how much more convenient is it. At the end of the day selling time is what matters most. How can "I" get the most bang for my buck that leads to more time doing what "I" the client, want to do

I did an in person for someone that is also local last week. It was great. I kept feeling like I was being a bit awkward. We didnโ€™t shake hands but we did eat lunch together.ย
