Battle of the Burgers

Fellow Sales Savages,

Let's solve this once and for all. Who's got the best meat n buns in the country.

Growing up in California, I gotta stay loyal to the CHIEF OF CHIEFS when it comes to fast food burgers: IN-N-OUT.

How about y'all?

Haha nothing wrong with Shake Shack, they are not the best but really good IMO.

Although not the best, I blatantly disagree. Therefore, I must challenge you to a gladiator duel in order to solve this unfortunate disagreement.

They're good, I love them. I just think In-N-Out taste better and cost 1/4 of what Five Guys cost.

I've tried all but White Castle.

I voted for Whataburger based on a trip last year to Phoenix and the fact that we pretty much ended up going there every day over the weekend.  MMmmmmm.

You are missing Carls Jr.  As far as ff burgers go, the $6 burger (which is probably the $9 burger these days) is really, really good.

I was not very inmpressed by White Castle, it is just cool that they got mini burgers/sliders. They are good but not great, so you are not missing much.

I agree, Carls Jr is great. They are just a step behind In-n-Out, Five Guys, Shake Shack IMO, but should've added them haha.

The ones I gotta try are Whataburger, I've heard they're great.

Culvers wins, hands down. It’s not even close tbh.. the fact that it’s not mentioned here is practically a war crime

I hate fast food. I don’t touch it if I can avoid it. But I look forward to culvers. I ate at 2 locations in 2 different states. Food quality and consistency was very high.

Not In-n-Out high, but you can tell they have something similar going on in terms of quality control and measures in place to keep things tight.

And the burgers (and the sides) were UNREAL.  You can’t go back after Culvers. Very well priced too, but that’s food in the US in general

Feel the same way, I've been spending most of my time in Mexico City and we don't have In-N-Out. We at least got Shake Shack though.

First thing I do whenever I land in Cali is to go to my nearest In-N-Out to slam down 2 Double-doubles, animal fires, and a shake.
TheNegotiator

Not missing much imo.

In-n-Out is the nice, because it’s not dog food, like many others.  And it’s cheap AF, which is cool. Aside from that, I can’t say I get the hype.

Try South St if you haven’t. I order from them on front st. whenever I have a craving for yummy junk

South St. closed down by me, but I've always enjoyed it. Great assortment of toppings/condiments, and you can't beat the NY fries.

Rudy is my guilty pleasure these days. And Farm Boy actually has a mean smashburger they'll make to order (love the caramelized onions) - not expensive AT ALL either, and good quality.

My wife grew up in Cali. Always raving about In N Out. Talking about how great it is and how much she wants one. The day I finally tried it, I was expecting the heavens to open up and angels to sing. I was greatly disappointed.

To me, In-N-Out tastes no different than any burger you would get at a community picnic.

Not gross by any means, although I like to tell my wife they're nasty just to see the fire in her eyes. But not at all impressive. Just a decent burger.

Had the same experience with a French girl I was dating, roles were just reversed as I was the one talking about how amazing they are. She was notoriously disappointed when she tried them.

Needless to say, I had to end the relationship right there on the spot haha

pretty sure who @funcoupons .  She thinks downvoting my comments actually matters.  Since I write real advice to the aimed at the post's author and do not cater to her, it really doesn't bother me.  But let her keep thinking it does 🤣😂😆

Haven’t tried half of these, obesity isn’t that trendy in Canada.

Culvers is missing from this list and is definitely the best fast food burger I’ve ever had though, by a LANDSLIDE.  Genuinely delicious, amongst a sea of ‘acceptable’.

5-guys is pretty dece too.

If your ever in Toronto give South st. a try. It’s a valiant effort, but they’re not as generous as Americans chains which kinda kills the magic.
