Breaking roe’s?

Waddup savages-

My org moved to SMB/MM/Enterprise with employee size as our new ROE’s about 6 months ago. I was an SDR who converted to SMB AE with those changes so no carry over opps. Have you guys/girls ever broken your Roe’s chasing a fat check? We all wanna get paid and hit multiple months of quota in 1 deal. But is it worth chasing the deal but get the flack from upper management/possibly losing the deal from sales ops?

much love fam

Not worth it. ENT always wins. I know becuase I'm in ENT.

It’d be a MM opp, and after the attrition that team has seen (no direct manager and half the team gone), thought it might be worth a shot. You’re probably right about it tho

Enterprise always wins but mid-market doesn't.

Not worth it because you can bring it all the way to close and MM or ENT can snoop in and say you shouldn’t have had it you’ll mess it up and grab it from you. Save yourself the anger and don’t do it.

This is so situational. Are you one of leadership's favorites? Are you definitely going to close the deal? What's the potential backlash? How likely are you to get caught doing this? Would you be pissed if somebody did that to you? Are you willing to take a rep hit for trying to pull this off? You need to be able to think through ALL of these before you make a call.

It comes down to office politics. Ent will problably win this most of the times.
