Cadence for account (not for individual contacts)

so, we have been thinking of testing sequences in a different way but unable to figure out how (apollo.io)

basically, sequencing two contacts together in a sequence which would make them both (or more) end up either to: or cc:

subject: test

to: [email protected]

cc: [email protected]

and the sequence continues this way...

apollo support is being the usual grandé useless.. so wanted to see what others do

Gotta be honest, I've never seen someone do that on any platform as sequences are built to be 1:1. That looks like something you'd reserve for hyper-personalization or one-off outreach.

yup, very much so for an ABM/ABS approach where we're reaching out to pre-vetted accounts where we've identified primary and secondary ICPs.

for example, reaching out to CEO _and_ Operations Manager. hypothesis is COO replies thinking "oh CEO is watching", but it could also backfire where both think the other may have replied (which is why we intend to test it)

you might not find it because this is totally new, we haven't seen it out there... but if it works, hey, go share with anyone.

the reason we came to this is our favourable reply rate has been great everytime we copy 2-3 people in the org. thanks @poweredbycaffeine

I don't know that this is a new approach to outreach, but I do think that platforms should build this functionality for future use at scale!

I don't know apollo, but a lot of sequencing sales tools allow you to run multiple sequences with a universal dis-enroll based on replys.

Do it manually.

this is a good idea @goose (frkn awesome handle btw)
the problem though is that while apollo allows us to add a "cc" for an initial email, if we don't catch the subsequent automatic emails in time, it would go out without the cc...

Yeah.  I get that (thanks btw).

My issue is really with automated cadences.  Unless you can specifically identify ways your emails are different than mine or anyone else then we're not really getting anywhere.

i hear you.

to clarify, we're not professing automatic cadences - because we have a mix of manual emails and automated followups in there.

what I'm trying to say is apollo.io allows us to add a cc manually for all contacts that are part of sequence. but _only_ for that email and not the subsequent steps in the cadence. we'd have to be able to catch that scheduled email in time to add in the cc which would be tiresome.
