Cashing out Commission Soon: Jabra Headset, thoughts and model?

Hey, about 75pts away from my 2k commish mark and been eyeing the Jabra headset. Was looking for WR Savages to give me any history they've had with the brand or product. Also, was hoping @Gasty could let me know what model was included here as a few come up on Amazon even with the "evolve 65" so I can do proper due diligence.

Yes I know this could have been a DM but I don't approve of the apple life. I grew up being able to right click and manipulate properties and not have a turtleneck limit my options and configs. PC & DROID FOR LIFE! MWAHAHA

@GastyI must have done it wrong in the post, but was looking to see if you had more specific details about the headset as there seem to be like 3/4 different "evolve 65" on Amazon and trying to make a decision.

You can probably get your company to pay for this vs using commission. Maybe your existing headset has an unfortunate accident.

For what it's worth I have the Jabra evolve 75 and it's decent, but not amazing

OOO I did not think of this...you sir have the kind of smarts where you might have a bit of fire in a failing business after a robust insurance policy was put into place. And I like that kind of smarts. Will be looking into this come Monday.

It works well, but be very careful when connecting multiple devices to it. Often it will kick out the audio, which can be super annoying to deal with.

I just saw that feature on the Amazon page and love the idea of being hooked to both at the same time, but I don't think I would risk actually picking up the phone call coming in with the set if already on a teams call.

For me, just feels like less connecting/disconnecting in System UIs which is nice.

I have used Evolve 65 and the audio is decent but the mic SUCKS.

My fav headset is plantronics voyager focus. I have 3 lol.

Like my dad always said: If its something you'll use every day, Buy the best tool you can afford

I like the thought process and the ROI b/c the everday use really can make the upfront cost bearable when dividing by 365. I'll look into that ty for the recommendation @maverickmission

I use Jabra but the earbuds (elite series). Never used the Headsets but the buds work very well for me.

Ok cool yeah getting a feel for the brand as a whole. I'm a Logitech man historically but appreciate the feedback and now looking into the earbuds you mentioned.

I used Logitech and I found Jabra better in quality. As brain 🧠 mentioned check if you company gives any reimbursement (why not leverage), mine is poor and I was sent some shit headphones that only gave ache lol

I have it and it works quite well, except for Teams, for some reason.

Consider saving up for something else if you have doubts though.

Just an FYI, apparently Teams does a number on audio drivers.

A colleague who is MUCH more technical than I was telling me about it today. So it might be more of a challenge than you think..

Well, it's not like the headset doesn't work...it's that there are a few issues here and there. Usually if there's no reason to wear headsets, I use the integrated speakers/mic instead, and use the Jabra when there's a lot of external noise and/or there are others around. Every so often it's kicked me out of Teams or I've had to convince it to work, but it's good 90% of the time.

I believe Jabra's model on Amazon US is the same on Amazon Egypt and both reviews on em are just awesome.

Have a Jabra, only complaint is that after traveling with it (and rolling up the cord), the cord will need replacement because it’s got some kind of internal arc or something and randomly boots me out of meetings if I move it.

I have it but I rarely use it for work anymore. I just use my laptop mic/speakers (wfh perk). Very versatile. Clear audio when listening to music. Comes with a usb Bluetooth dongle so can be used with lots of devices, ps5, etc. Can connect to multiple devices at the same time but can't play audio from more than one device at a time. I mainly use it for playing fortnite with the boys these days.

If you still haven’t gotten a headset skip the 65 and go with the Evolve 75. I’ve used it for years. Calls are always crystal clear. Noise cancelling is great, and those on other side don’t hear much background noise.

Favorite feature though is that in the 75 when you push the mic boom up it mutes. So easy to go on and off mute by simply moving the boom up or down on your call.
