do you get your prospects' numbers?

I used to be in an account management role where over time, I had the mobile numbers of most of my clients. I would always be careful about using them, but as you are an AM, you do get opportunities to provide value over text - and it really works when chasing contracts!

As I have now moved to a predominantly new business patch, I'm not so sure about how it would be perceived if I ask for my prospects number so we can keep in touch during the process. From my point of view, this should be valuable for them - if they do want to move forward, this would provide a filter through their email so we can move on time. If they don't want to move forward, they can, as always, just let me know we should put a pause on us pursuing this and I won't bother them.

Do people generally do that?

Yeah worse that happens is they say no. Also if itโ€™s in their signature as far as Iโ€™m concerned thatโ€™s an open invitation.

Why else would it be in a signature!?
So many of us are still remote, that it's often hard to pin someone down at a desk.

It really can't hurt. And people will be happy you gave them the opportunity to decline that method of communication, if they do say no. We all know they can be found.

Most of the time their cell is on ZI or Apollo and thatโ€™s the one I use. Usually donโ€™t text first, but if they text me i will text them back
