Flexible Position to Move Into

I work for a fast growing start up company (I think I've said this a lot in my WR posts so I apologize) as a BDR and I am looking to move into a new role by the end of the year.

The three career paths I currently see in my company are CSM, Sales Ops and AE (BDR manager is off the table as that role is filled).

I think CSM is my next logical move and yes I've read the following posts.

My company provides a large amount of flexibility which is great because I have a very time consuming side project/ hustle that I am committed to for the next 5 months.

My question is what position, CSM, Sales Ops and AE provides the most flexibility within the day to day?

I'm not looking to skip out on work but it would help if my mornings were more free and I could work later into the night.

In terms of flexibility, AE has the most, cause it's less reactive than CSM and less responsible than sales ops, but if you don't bring results, you will be tossed. Can your side hustle grow into a full-time in 5 months? Is it worth it for you to fail your current job?

I personally don't believe in "side hustles".  You are either committed to your career, or you are committed to your "side hustle". Its like being a "player/coach".  All that happens is you do two things mediocrely

Appreciate the advice but I gotta disagree with you here. Bo Jackson's side hustle was baseball and he ended up going into the MLB haha

So Bo was committed to his “side hustle”?

AE allows you to make your own schedule assuming you can deliver the results required for the role and you work for a cool boss.

Don’t focus on the side hustle to the detriment of your current role or else you’re never moving into that new position, whatever it may be.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Career flexibility - CSM
Day-to-day flexibility - AE but there are all of the other impacts - stress, end of quarter, etc.

AE seems the most flexible. Although CSM can plan a lot as well.
