Have you ever had revenue generated (not pipeline) directly from a 6sense lead?

Hi All,

My company is all in on 6sense. To the point where my head of sales is saying things like "these are red hot leads, they should be converting at a high clip."

I understand there is value in the data in general for seeing industry trends, who may be looking at what content etc, but I've never been able to directly action that info into (real) pipeline, and then close it. At least not directly attributed to 6sense bringing a "new lead" to my attention.

So yes - i know there is some value in additional knowledge in general, but wanted to see if a single person here had a true win attributed to 6sense.

Thanks WR!

What I’m reading is your company was sold on a
Sales tool and they want to get their money outta it. Logical. And if the tool sucks, it’s more than just money or lost productivity on the line - it’s egos and reputations.

My advice - use it and document every “lead”. Be open to it working but be ready to show your work for when it doesn’t. Your mngt will blame you when it fails, not the solution.

So be ready to back up everything with your own personal notes ( not CRM notes) to show you gave it a chance and an honest try.

Oh, and not just “ all the leads suck” excuse. Instead “I called Companies X, Y, and Z and I did <this> and the data coming from 6sense is simply not accurate”. It’s the professional way of saying “the leads suck”.

So I do think it might be a little bit of an over exaggeration. Your head of sales, just invested x amount in this tool. If there is no adoption, what is their leadership going to think

That is clearly a major part of the issue. We've not only spent $$$ on the tool, but we spent a ton of cycles trying to lean into the data as if it were gold.....so totally in defense mode right now.

Only time I used 6Sense was as an SDR, and the company only started using it towards the end of my time there. I got one demo using the intent data. But not an ideal customer, nor the ideal use case. It was passed to the AE, but I don't think anything came of it, at least by the time I left 2 months later.

There was seemingly a lot of traffic from the accounts that were in the verticals that we were trying to hit hard, but nothing ever resulted. I'd go so far as to say the Zoominfo intent data was slightly (but still not great) more useful.

I don't think of these as leads. They're data points, or an indicator.
And the answer to your question is no.

Cold,Warm and Hot leads are still just names till the contract is signed and the cash is transferred.
Otherwise, the prospect can unconditionally pull out the carpet from anyone at anytime they think suitable to revoke the deal!

I have not, and only used them briefly. Great/cool platform. More of a marketing tool if you ask me.

6sense is straight garbage and this is a hill I will die on. they must have tremendous marketing though because other marketing teams are convinced they can't do ABM without it.
