How many client meetings are you having each week as an Account Manager?

I work at one the big tech companies as an Account Manager selling to Mid-Market clients. ($50k ARR). It’s your typical AM job with renewals, expansions, and also opportunity to sell a side product.

One of the metrics leadership track is 12 customer meetings per week. I’d like to learn if you have a similar target metric in AM roles and if so how many per week it is.

I'd say our AMs probably have at least that many a week if not more. AE side however far less. Maybe 4-5 a week depending on which level they're at.

There is no straight answer - it depends upon how many accounts you have, what type of conversation you having, what stage you are at, what’s your accountability. Our MM ARR is far lesser so the AMs have 4-5 meetings that’s because we have far too many of them vs no of AU. Out Enterprise team spends more time outreaching new potential users.

Different industry, but I aim for 5 customer meetings per week and 10 new clients. Our average deal size is around $5-7k and the goal after that is growth.

Sounds like a good first step is to set recurring meetings with your customers so that you're assured of making that number. Do you do that already? And how many accounts have you been assigned?

Anyone care to show how they are attaining this type of number every week?

I’m in AM at a big tech in MM with about 55 accounts and the expectation is a minimum of 10 meetings a week with 2 new opportunities weekly

Thanks for the comment. How challenging do you find it to have 10 meetings/week + internal meetings from work volume perspective?

I usually get about 8 calls a week unless I’m able to get calls around cross-sell or add-ons which is rare these days. I’m on a quarterly cadence with most of my customers but trying to get on a monthly cadence with some of them

I have 2 - 5 client meetings / week. But I am on $500K ARR + accounts, and a single-digit number of them at that.
I am talking to every account at least 1x / month, and often multiple different groups within each account monthly.

Question becomes, how large is your book and what are your touch points with clients?

A lot has already been mentioned in this thread. I would also ask , How much customer facing time are you left with? i.e whats your ratio of internal meetings vs external?
