Blow it up
Not gonna lie, some weeks it feels like I work 80+ hours and other weeks I swear I work less than 10 hours.

You gotta do what you gotta do to win, but make sure you're not always 100% or you will get burnt out.

Looking like you have too much free time is also dangerous.

The intent of this question is a bad one. It’s the pursuit of an easy path with high reward and that thought process is highly unproductive. It also manifests an undercurrent of envy which is a cardinal sin in sales that will induce career-limiting behaviors and decisions.

Anything that pays well and is highly rewarding is ALMOST ALWAYS difficult and time consuming.

And as it relates to sales, you cannot possibly work 15 hours per week and have enough time to understand your customers enough to deliver value to them.

I work a roughly 40 hour work week, my OTE is over $400K, and I manage an enterprise account with 20,000+ employees. I am extremely disciplined and focused with my 40 hours such that I ensure I go into every conversation with the customer and I’m able to almost always tell them something they don’t already know.

schedule set for themselves during the work week . Ive read comments that other people and companies that have a book of clients and work really hard during for les than 15-20 hours a week. Dont know if anyone else can coast that way.

Gotcha.

It's true. I work remotely and as long as my work is complete and I'm making my number, my hours worked are immaterial. Now, that said, I like accelerators as much as the next person, so if I'm coasting, I'm missing out on potential $$. However, on the flip side, I don't sweat it if I need to go to the dentist or my afternoon hike takes 2 hours rather than 1 hour, if I'm not missing my meetings and my proposals, etc., are perfect.

I will say that there are weeks where I easily work more than 40 hours, and weeks where I certainly don't, but as a salaried employee, how I spend my time is not managed.

I think this is a great way of looking at it.

If you're hitting numbers, great.

if your calendar starts being too empty.. than normally performance issues appear down the line because of lack of pipeline.

I am not a schedule person for sure. I have a few hours when I am extremely productive, and some really lull hours as well. I try to just go with that flow and get work done when I can, chill when I can't.

I set up my schedule to work 7 hours a day, and many days not all of those hours are actually used. So its common for me to work 30 hrs a week. but man 15 hours? thats insane.

i found what times of the day i am least productive, forced my self to get my work done before those times, and Ive ended up getting more time with the fam, and still get everything done.

I try to be really efficient in my 6.5 hour window that my kids are at daycare, sometimes get a little done after I pick them up but I guess that means I work 30ish hours in a week typically

Some weeks I work 40 hours a week (with 2 jobs) other weeks I barely work 20 hours and still kill it. My best days are usually when I barely work oddly enough.

it's all about focusing on the right shit. Calling, emailing, ICP's, strategic business.

I work less than 10 hours per week. I automate all of my cold outreach and funnel. As long as I close 2-3 clients per month and hit revenue quota (of which I’m already at 202% for the year) they leave me alone. So my ten hours is actually meetings with customers

Other reps on the team work 50 hours per week, but they don’t automate much, so they are pounding the phone and spending all their researching their prospects
