This is going to vary widely depending on size of customer as well as AE and their role - SMB would be foolish to spend 10+ hours on a single customer, while strategic would be foolish not to.

I try to do as little as possible so I can spend more time on actually selling. That being said, still have to keep yourself up to date, so 1-5 seems right

You do about 30 minutes of work prior to the call for each new customer. Take notes on a call, then another 15 minutes after cleaning up. From there, itโs just maintaining your pipeline which might only take a couple of minutes per conversation.
