How to sell a VPN

Hello all,

I am happy to find this channel of communication and get in touch with powerful sales ppl 😊

I am about to sell a VPN product for now. But, the methods I have already used didn't work (cold, LI outreach). Mostly, I targeted hubs, but maybe you can share some pieces of advice I can include as well? Who is an ICP and how better to sell security based products?

I'd imagine most companies buy VPN at the corporate level from Cisco, Juniper, F5, CheckPoint, etc.

More companies are ditching VPN for secure web gateways (e.g. Zscaler, NetSkope).
Are you calling into CISO and CIOs?
The product you list seems like it's for individuals. In which case you're better off running ads than cold calling.

Does your company not help you out with ICP? Are there other reps you can shadow to find out what is successful for them?

This is EXACTLY what I was going to recommend. Shadow other reps. Make friends with everyone that has to help you internally to get a deal closed. They are your best resources.

I’d imagine you are competing against giants in this market. Meaning those that you sell to have contracts from large names ie(Cisco) so your only shot is to differentiate yourself
