I’m finally updating my LinkedIn profile, and considering purchasing LinkedIn Premium. Is it worth it?

How has this been useful to you in terms of sales/lead gen vs getting interviews? I'm looking at both use cases.

Far too expensive for what it is. I've only purchased the license if I am in between jobs.

Yup. The job seeking stats are cool but that's it. Otherwise I don't care who views my profile enough to purchase it.

There are some handy features but its overpriced for what it is.

Not worth it IMO. Use trials and see if you can gain traction.

I use zoominfo for prospecting and I love it. Much better data in terms of obtaining contact info for ICPs.

Not really worth it. Sales Navigator is useful, but not sure it would be worth the cost on your own. Definitely depends on your goals.

I paid their annual premium sub two months ago at a 40% discount. I haven’t been back to LinkedIn for over a month now. Unless you use the learning option or you connect via inmail and prospects “actually” reply to you with a let’s talk, it’s worth it. Other than that, I want a refund.

It entirely depends on what price the algorithm provides you and what you want to use it for.

As far as a prospecting tool it’s really a waste of money.

For job hunting or learning it’s good at the right price point.

I’ve had career option for $35/month. If you get it for a month or 2 and then go to cancel you usually be provided a discounted rate to stay on. A while back I had the option to buy a full year for just $99.

Not in my opinion. I will use it if company pays for it but would not pay for it myself.

Premium Career - go for a trial if you're looking for a position. It's fun and gives you insights about people who applied and makes you feel better about job hunt. Paying long term... Well see how you feel after the trial. You might love it.

Premium Business? Don't see the point. You can connect with people, comment and network so why pay for InMail?

Sales Navigator? You could track your leads and create lists of people. But probably could do the same by creating a few folders on your browsers and some excels? Real time insights for people changing roles... Doesn't happen that often. Most leads do not post that much either. Set people do and the LinkedIn will send you a notification saying hey people are reacting to your connection's post.

As for LinkedIn Learning that's included in above options... Just pay for a course on Udemy if something really interests you.

I don't think it's worth the money.

Suppose I'm the outlier, but I find it useful when job hunting. The "top applicant" badges help filter. I pay it for that reason only.

In my opinion, it’s absolutely critical to understand the key DMs of an account if you know how to look. I can easily find a Director or VP that lines up with our product and prospect into the account. I’d also use it heavily if I were job hunting to find hiring managers and proactively reach out.

LI premium is kinda known for being something only job seekers use.

Only buy it for a couple of months if you're in the job hunt phase. Else, make your company pay for your Sales Nav license.

Unless you are planning to send DMs to people then it is not worth it

I'd say only if you're self employed and need it for lead gen.

Use SalesNav and nothing else. But I am also not currently job hunting.

Do a feel trial and then you can learn if you will actually use it or not

No.

Apollo.IO is free for emails.
Company numbers can be used to reach out to someone direct thanks to call forwarding.

Don't spend the money on Nav.
Worst case you are doing a touch more manual clicks for something, but not really.

I bought it for a couple of months when I was looking out for a new role as it helps you send inMails where DM is not possible. Thats it.

You can usually get 3 months free every year or two. Just start the sign up and abandon it a few times at the rate pages.
I do it for the access but you realize pretty quick it's not valuable. Nice package but not a must have.

I paid for the premium and I didn't find the value. I can get everything from LinkedIn that I need for Lead Gen for free.
