I found that the sales world has been built for extroverts, which sucks because introverts make amazing salespeople, particularly in the complex B2B world.
Most introverts I know love deep one-on-one conversations, not shallow small-talk. They are fueled by curiosity and love complex problem solving. Intorverts also tend to be more comfortable with learning new technology and leveraging it to ensure it is being used the right way. All of this gives introverts an advantage in complex sales.
I wrote a book to help introverts thrive in sales, and I want to get as many reviews as possible. It is called the Introvert Sales Survival Manual and it is only available on Amazon right now.
