Hmm. Both sound comparable then, I would do wherever you see yourself as the best fit culture wise. Maybe reach out to a few potential future team mates for each and see if you get along.ย

What do you mean by "has better investors"?

Also, does the hourly gig offer benefits??

Most SaaS companies have their sales staff on hourly so my guess is yes.ย

By investors I mean like accredited firms (A16Z for example) vs newer inexperienced firms with less success stories and/or private investors

But a firm who advertises hourly job makes it seem like some kind of part-time gig. Granted, in my paycheck my salary is broken down into hours, but my salary was never discussed at an hourly rate. Does that make sense?

Also, with all the Web3 & twitter BS I don't know if A16z is still considered a good firm ;)

I stay away from jobs that pay me hourly if they expect me to act like a salaried employee.ย

Only the base salary one, the hourly is in office. I havenโ€™t done remote before but I hated remote learning in university. Not sure how that translates into working remote. What are your thoughts on remote work?

Does salary vs hourly matter to you?ย  Also, does the salary offer option come with "unlimited PTO" and the hourly option has you accruing PTO?ย  ย It may not truly matter, because you're not going to make up $10K in difference with any PTO cashout.

It does Iโ€™m more inclined to take the base salary option. Especially because it includes unlimited PTO and hourly does not. The only thing that has me on the edge is the supposed opportunity for โ€œhigh growth potentialโ€ that the manager is promising at the hourly option.

Here's a tip. Every company advertises high growth potential. That's akin to "all natural" on the box. Sounds good be means nothing.

I would never pick an hourly job. You might want to get on a few coffee chats with the existing employees to learn more about the role and orgย

Iโ€™ve never spoken with a company that doesnโ€™t brag about โ€œhigh growth potentialโ€ in the interview. If thatโ€™s the only thing holding you back from the 50 base, take the 50 base
