Leadership is dropping like flies.

What does it mean when leadership is essentially having a mass exodus? By leadership I mean, 1 CXO, multiple VP's and a couple managers all on the sales/customer support side of the house?

A re-org is coming without a doubt, and I'm being told I'm safe regardless. (I'm an enterprise rep) Just seems like a bumpy ride is ahead- I'm not sure if this is a sign I should gear up to move on - regardless of being told I'm "safe" or not.

For you to go someplace, someone else needs to leave that place.

If the company is doing well, you ensure you take advantage of this exodus.

It sucks when that happen, especially if you liked those people. Its never a good sign if Csuite or VPs leave since usually they know something we dont

Yup, you might be screwed. You might be getting bought. Who knows. But never a good thing to be left holding the bag.

Where are they heading? Lateral moves? A step back to save themselves? Depends on what they are doing, to be frank. Do they suck?

None of them suck. All really admirable, good people to work for/with. After further thought, I think it might be a huge ring of circumstance and a couple relationship ties. Just is wild and unnerving to experience.

There is something happening that they don't want everyone else to know. More than likely, a power trip gone wrong and it rubbed people the wrong way. OR the CXO found something is taking his people with him.

Are they paying you on time? If so, don't sweat it. Shake ups happen.

Yeah, they were most likely asked to leave. Are you at a mid-round startup (C - E)? This can be a forerunner of a down round or a PE acquisition, leadership takes their marbles early.

Always be ready to move on. thats number 1.

But also just because things are changing does not mean its bad.

Sounds like there i a massive shift coming if all those people are being let go. Any rumors about what is going on?

CXO left 1000% because of personal reasons. Everyone else, there isn’t really a reason. Rumor mill is pretty quiet.

I am always scared when the rumor mill is quiet. There is always some rumors flying and when you don’t hear anything it’s like that calm you get just before the tornado comes through and launches trailers like a kid with a slingshot

Had that happen at the last company. All the VPs left and then three months later the sales reps were let go. I think it depends on the business model to be honest but don’t be afraid to entertain recruiters when they reach out

Follow your gut. My experience tells me there is something brewing that you aren't aware of. Get your resume ready and start looking at other opportunities that are out there. Target companies you respect and have always wanted to work with. Enterprise positions don't come along every day, it is best to be proactive. Always do what is right for you rather than having to react to a situation.
