Who should a good sales rep like more?

I've noticed in my sales roles I end up connecting more with my clients than my internal team. Don't get me wrong, I have a work bestie (maybe two) from time to time but on the days I want to quit sales and become a raging alcoholic bum it's always a client who unknowingly relights my fire. Is it because they give me money? Maybe. Is it because I am now cellularly programmed to want people in power to like me? also maybe. Who do you like more?

I like ____ more.

OK, I don't hate everyone.  Usually.

But eyes on the prize - you need to convince the customer that your solution will be the best for them, while protecting your company revenue stream.  For those things, you have to be attentive to your customer, listening to their problems, and solving their business issues while being respectful of your colleagues and their respective fiefdoms.

Respecting turf gets tiresome and doesn't affect your paycheck...so no wonder the customer, with their new stories and the chance to make you some cash, is more interesting and lights your fire.

You gotta stir in extra bitterness into your morning coffee to fuel the hate into closing deals.

I tend to agree with this- I've found that clients remind me how much I do value the company I'm with, the product I'm selling and the problems I'm helping solve.

As a bonus, I do enjoy about 95% of my coworkers but I'm not there to make besties, I'm there to grow my career and bank account.

Yes. I love my coworkers but I would chose my friends over them any day so the quicker I get my shit done the quicker I can have beers with people who will still be in my day to day after I blow this popsicle stand

I'm indifferent, I do not care what people think about me, I care that you'll sign this contract and pay your bill so I can get paid. Obviously if the prospect likes me all the better but quite frankly I do not care.

I vibe with this poll so hard. I HATE people. I hate people so much. Not any one person, just people. Biggest introvert on planet earth. If I’m not being paid to talk to you, stay the fuck away from me.

Absolutely, for our product line pain points are something that we try to build our conversation around.
