Which ever one gives you a great offer. If I had to pick between two offers, cybersecurity.

Whatever is the better offer, but I always worry that claims of AI are all smoke and mirrors so do your due diligence.

AI is legit, but there is a large continuum of how sophisticated it actually is. I've been selling it for 10 years, and it is often far over-sold.

The hard part is recognizing business value from it. People don't like to change. And much information that's fed into AI models is heavily biased or unclean in some way. Big effort to get meaningful insights that people will actually trust. Which means companies don't get that big bang business case they expected, more of a slow return over a longer period of time.

"

there is a large continuum of how sophisticated it actually is" this is basically what I meant. There's a lot of bs out there. Also a lot of legit AI, but if you're not informed it can be hard to tell what is what.

depends on like 100000 factors. But what ever you do, make sure you are working for the leader in the industry, or the up and coming company with a SOLID value prop. those spaces are saturated for sure.

We see these posts a lot. There’s no magic bullet. The most successful reps that I worked with in a big conglomerate sold print work. Printed words on paper. Some of them cleared 2-3mm or more. Finding the product, timing and delivery matter more than jumping blindly into a hot market.

How the fucking hell is cybersecurity not oversaturated?

There are tons of players, sure. But in my experience the industry is so nuanced that it’s not over saturated because players all have their specialty. That said, I’d recommend you steer clear of the companies who fancy themselves “jack of all trades”. Much better to be hyper focused on a specific niche than throwing ish at a wall and hoping enough sticks to hit your number.

I am dealing with a lot of customers who are into cybersecurity (i am not) and I can see they are expanding and doing really well. So cybersecurity it is.
