Microdosing For Work Improvement: Week One

Hello my dear warriors.

I made a post about 2 weeks ago on my PIP as an AE, and mentioned I was going to start micro-dosing psylocibin mushrooms.. that got some attention

Well, I started this Tuesday (4 days a week for 4 weeks is what im doing)

In the past 4 days, I had a few mood swings from happy to sad to angry. My main goal from this was to start maintaining pipeline, updating forecast, etc...

However, that hasn't happened. What HAS happened (not conscious decisions where I thought, hmm ill do this to get things in order, it just happened out of the blue) is:

1 - Started drinking water (i always drink just coffee and diet soda/pop)

2 - Bought a football (soccer ball) to start playing for fun. (I NEVER exercise, yesterday I played for 40 minutes in my nearby park)

3 - I these 3 days, my food has switched from pizza and junk (currently obese) to "healthier" food like roasted chicken and vegetables..

4 - Shaved my self when I didn't before.

Very interesting to notice, as these weren't decisions I set myself to make, they just happened. My goal was to increase job efficiency, and just this morning I realized there has been some minor changes, but personally first.

Anyways, might be a placebo sure, I am aware, maybe its the actual mushroom doing its magic?

Will do an update next month and see what else has evolved...

Do you believe in mushrooms and their power/benefits?

Donโ€™t use drugs to improve your performance. It either leads to burnout or a really wacky brain later in your life.

As salespeople you got to treat yourself like an athlete. It sounds so cliche but it actually works.

Things that help me:
1. Eating healthy. Fruit, veggies etc every day. Donโ€™t just smash some pizza down, learn how to cook for yourself.
2. Walk more. People talk about running to loose weight but walking is underrated imo. Going from 2k to like 7k steps a day will improve your health and quality of life.
3. Do things to make yourself feel good. Like nature? Go on a hike. Played a sport that you no longer do? Try that. Connect with an old friend for coffee? Give it a go. Feel shitty about your clothes? Go buy some new ones.

So much of what we do is transferring enthusiasm about what youโ€™re selling so people want to buy from you. I knew someone who stopped playing golf after doing it all the way growing up and literally came back the next week giddy. Please remember and do the things that make life better.

So much yes to this, especially, โ€œtreat yourself like an athlete.โ€

People truly buy from people they trust. We are all building our own brands out here. If we take care of ourselves people tend to trust us more.

this is the absolute most important thing one can do.. the thing is, I know this is what I need to do but the act of actually getting up and doing it is where it gets really difficult. It sounds so stupid, but if I have one cup that I need to wash its such a difficult task to actually START. That bottom line issue, is what I am trying to work on. Some would call it discipline !!

You got it! One step at a time. My motto is the hardest part is starting.

Unsolicited advice : the 5 minute role. Start a timer and do the task such as cleaning a dishes for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes if you feel like thatโ€™s all you can do, stop & do something you enjoy. If you can do more do more. Then slowly increase your time. Also make it enjoyable and gamify it. One doing the โ€œboringโ€ maintenance task will become as easy as breathing, maybe youโ€™ll grow to like them.

You got it ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹ and it doesnโ€™t sound stupid many people have felt how you have felt and you are not alone.

I feel like the options for the polls leave a lot of room - sure I don't believe in all the vodoo hodoo BS but I figured out how to cope with my depression on my 3rd Acid Trip via some serious internal thoughts on a rainy day at the beach. I know they can be effective w/o being spiritually enlightening...

But with these choices, just a drug - interested to see your updates though.

I'd say, don't do drugs. My issue is, for example, take weed. In Europe mostly illegal so people "trick it" to grow in 3 months. Imagine if you were trying to fast track a pregnancy in 3 months instead of 9. You'll have something weird instead of a baby. I suppose it's like drugs being a good cut... How would you know? And same for plants and shrooms. Weed obviously a different story in Holland and the US now. But shrooms I'd say hard to tell.

If thatโ€™s the case I am blown away and stand corrected. I just canโ€™t fathom a boss of a guy who forgets to send follow ups and do their job correctly is all good with doing mushrooms while on the job.
Man this world surprises me more and more every single day. Maybe I am just getting old

I understand your point 100% , but micro doses don't make you trip. Its a really small dose which works the brain. Imaging taking one shot of beer in the morning; thats what it is basically. Won't get you drunk or tipsy, can't really call it drinking on the job, but that micro dose stimulates the brain

I started microdosing this week for the first time, and it's better than adderall. Just can't take it with caffeine or I turn into Bleeker on client calls

it is such a shame they are illegal and looked down upon, microdosing has worked absolute miracles world wide. Aderall will fuck your liver up and get you addicted, but hey its legal so all good, right?? yeah..

So...I am really starting to study microdosing. Without getting too personal, a family member has a clinical condition where microdosing is currently being studied to help it. It's being clinically studied at very prestigious hospitals and universities like John Hopkins. So, microdosing is definitely on the horizon to go mainstream...maybe in 5 years. But! It's supposed to used in a very controlled setting. Meaning, all over the country right now mental health professionals are getting licensed and certified to be "Guides." You're supposed to have a trained professional with you while you "trip", and have that person be there to help you if you start to have a "bad trip" or tap into some horrible dark emotions or memories.

I once did this as well, homegrown shrooms form a friend. However... One morning, I took a pill, and on my way to the office all colours started acting funky. Got even worse when I was looking at my screen.

Love your results, thought I doubt I'll ever try it again ;-)

Dude. Layoff the drugs and get your life together. You donโ€™t need drugs to be a better person to yourself and your job. Pull your head out of your ass. Thereโ€™s no secret recipe besides effort and discipline.

easier said than done when you are in a low place like myself atm.. if something natural can help give that kickstart, why not? thats the why i look at it anyways.. a psychologist recommended me prescription drugs which i am very against - never those!
