My company outsourced the sales team

Whats good warriors!!

My company recently outsourced Asia, saving literally 22x per SDR (insane savings margin) They gave me a new offer, which is HALF of what I was being paid before. Honestly, the company has a great future, and their bottom line is looking really promising, but damn.. hurts to work for half the money.

***In theory*** I can get more meetings (more commission, making more than previously) since their 20-something team in Asia is doing more legwork but.. idk, sounds like a pitch for me to stay for half

I haven't accepted the offer yet - (I have a job that pays more than them atm but it is a shitty company) what would you do?

That doesn't sound like a great deal for you at all. They offered you half, with a straight face, and tried to sell it as something good?
It's still $$ lost.
I'd be looking elsewhere.

what sucks is that this company is 100% going places, fortune 500 clients, big investors behind us, its only been open for about 4 years and its growing strong. So there is a part of me that wants to be part of this instead of making more money in a dead end company, but we work for money at the end of the day!

I feel like if it was ACTUALLY going places, then they'd want to make their employees happy - and cutting salaries by 50% does NOT achieve that.
Seems like there's more (or less) going on behind the scenes than you know. If it is going places, I don't think it's taking their current sales team with it.

yeah apparently it will be a lot easier to get meetings and close deals so commission will compensate and surpass previous income..

Yeah, no. I'm not buying that at all. That's a sales pitch to you right there.
If they firmly believed this would pay for reps, they'd pay their reps.

Natural question: how long before they outsource your role?

I did the math, they can hire 1 me or 22 indian guys doing twice the amount of calls per rep :/

They're going to hire the 22 indian guys anyway, they're offering you half and expecting you to resign or take it and start fucking around, then they'll just fire you for that.

sounds pretty terrible to be honest but typical for a company that doesn't need to have you to pay less.

its crazy profit margins; 1 us based or 22 indians, us based 75 cold calls per day indians 150

If theyโ€™re outsourcing something, itโ€™s funny you think you wonโ€™t be too.

Theyโ€™re already willing to make you work with BDRs on the other side of the planet. Do you think theyโ€™ll be forgiving of bad months? Or do you think theyโ€™ll cut losses for a buck?

My old company did the same thing and it makes sense why, but they were the most financially irresponsible company I've worked for. If I were you, I'd start looking.

Get out of there Honestly doubt that outsourcing would do it as well as you do. Thus it's cheaper.

they definitely do not, not being arrogant but not close. But they can hire 22 reps instead of one me lol so... I understand them looking at the numbers and going for it, but it sucks.

Any company that can do that - is not a "company with great future". They will do this again to you - for something else.
You either fight back or drop the sword and leave.

Never accept less money, they're just doing that as a "please quit" move.
