My current company ask about next step a lot, what should I do going to a closing role?

Not to be too blunt, well, never mind, I'm going to be blunt: if you want to progress in a career of any kind, but especially a closing role, you're going to have to learn to communicate. That means clear and concise writing, with context. The more professional your communication is, the more likely you are to be considered for a role.
And when it comes to asking for help, which is what we are here for, let me suggest that you practice that writing skill in your posts. Be thorough in your requests. Give examples when they help clarify what you mean. Don't expect others to try and figure out what you mean. The more you do this now, the more practiced you'll be for when it matters (as in, with hiring execs or your managers) and the easier it will be to make sure you're always at the forefront of someone's mind when they think about who to hire or promote.
