I worked for Oracle which owns Netsuite. Good benefits and fun environment where you can make a lot of friends. Salary is decent and commission structure is alright from what I've heard.

The product itself should be a good foundation for you into multi-threaded, relatively complicated software selling.  Given the nature of the product there are almost always going to be multiple DM's, implementation plans, roadmaps, technology evaluations, etc.  As a leader, I tend to look at someone's previous success in sales in correlation to the products they have sold. I'd give a successful NetSuite rep a nod, just given ERP's complexity.

To be fair, I've never heard anything bad. I deal with them every so often. Good luck.

Net suite has a great name. Seems like a good product to sell. Some people are scared because oracle is behind them, but I would still go for it.

I don't have any experience with this company. But, when I'm trying to learn about potential employers I reach out to ex employees on LinkedIn to gain some insight. Current employees are likely still drinking the kool-aid. Ex employees are almost always super honest about what it's like. Especially about the shitty parts which, let's be honest, are what you want to know about.

Oracle is historically known for comp reviews and shady activity with reps who crush it, so make sure you are prepared for the goal posts to be moved on you and your quota to be adjusted midstream and retroactive to any date they pick. Source: I’m ex-Oracle and watched many colleagues get absolutely screwed with no recourse

Thanks for the info! They’ve been very adamant that NetSuite has been able to function separately from Oracle. Something to definitely keep in mind.

Correct, I’ve heard they’ve been able to mostly maintain their independence and have not been ruined by the rank and file 20+ year vets who ruined other acquisitions (of which their are many) Everyone (unless this has changed and I would be shocked if it has) shares back office functions in finance and other areas of the business once it leaves their local contact. Happy to tap into my network and get fresh perspectives if you’d like

Great product. IMHO thats important. Everything else - like any other similar company, has pros and cons. Id say it will give you loads of experience with a rather complicated sale - ERP, so thats good too. Functions quite separately to Oracle but you can feel their influence from time to time.
