Outbound Sales strategy for software sales in SEA region

Hi Champs,


I work for a local Singapore company which deals with enterprise software. My Background is more on Business development, I focus on getting meetings for AEs and qualifying inbound leads. This is my first AE role, I'm nervous about my Q3 because although I'm able to get meetings for myself ... I'm not able to hit my numbers.


What's the recommendation for a firsttime outbound salesperson?

1. donโ€™tbe nervous. 2. What sort of sales training have you had or experienece? 3. Are your leads qualified or are you trying ti sell whoever will take a meeting with you? Look at other business that are buying from your co-workers. Ask them what were their driving factors/pain/needs and how they met their needs, then find similar business to meet with. Short easy way rather than deep discoevry for quick wins is to bring up reasons businesses like theres needed your solution. Odds are they will have of the same needs and need a quote at least. Show the cost of their business if they dont buy your solution compounded over time and onviously the ROI if they buy. And close by saying โ€œgreat, since were in agreement on x,y, z, and hoe kuch sense this make for you. Can i gain signatures so we can discuss next steps and impletmetnation? Thanks for your advice sir/mam. I don't have any formal sales training in the past. I did work as a B2C salesman to get myself through my high school and colleague.ย  ย 

In my first IT sales role, I wasn't given any instruction/playbook/ guidance to start. I start off by signing up for Jordan Belfort's straight-line sales training. I research and studying on other sales methodologies such as Meddic, Bant and Spint selling.ย ย

I like sandler selling method, or anything customer/client centric. They come more natural to me. Find what comes natural to you and build on that.

Keep doing the right things and results will follow. Try figuring out what the other AES do and then make it your own. Keep going (show some grit).ย
