Most blue collar sales are relationship driven. Have you taken the time and effort to form those relationships? Itโ€™s time consuming but it pays off.

Yes for the most part but Iโ€™m a good 10-15years younger that the business decision makers. But what I really do is service them well. I.e. once I drove from Dallas to Chicago to Houston to deliver paint because they ran out

I wouldnโ€™t worry about the age difference, a lot of those types of businesses are family businesses.

I guess I would take a look at the market and who uses the most and target those businesses.

Pretty vague ask, what exactly are you struggling with and need advice on.ย Is it how to get past the gate keeper, the presentation portion of it?ย Is it understanding your territory and how to penetrate it further?ย ย

The gate keeper really if I see a decision maker chances are I leave with a really decent enquirer.

Also nobody reply to emails or picks up the phone! And just walking isnโ€™t working.

Complete opposite to the cannabis market Iv have extreme luck.

Gate keepers are exactly like they sound, they just throw that block up there and that is it and need to be able to find an in to work around them.ย

With the powder coating industry, I assume much of who you are trying to sell to is the manufacturer level of the goods that need to be powder coated.ย ย

Not sure where you are located at but supply chain issues with imported products is a pain in the ass.ย Is your company able to differentiate themselves from your competitors?ย Do you have availability on product and can have quick turnaround vs. your competitors?ย Do you have a similar price point to your competition or if you are at a higher price point a faster turnaround?ย ย

If you are able to solve those pain points of availability, turn around timeframe on getting product to the manufacturer and a close price point it could be a no brainer for a manufacturer to jump on board.ย ย

I would go to anyone that has had success and experience before listening to anyone here haha. Powder coat sales is a pretty unique industry. Who are you selling to? Auto/body shops?ย

No the quantity isnโ€™t there for making any real money from it I need to sell about 2,000lb a day and auto body places only use about 5lb at most.

Got it - it sounds like you sell to existing customers as much as you do new. This is way out of my realm of expertise but if I recall @Mobi85ย works in a similar world and what he outlines below seems like a solid approach.ย

Good luck
