Product Added to Your Territory

At least for me, about once a year a new product gets added to my territory. Usually the company acquires another, then eventually has us able to sell the product. That once a year, happened today

Since the product is new to us, there isnt someone else on the team that I can learn the product from and learn the why people buy it. Usually I get a couple inbounds for it, and most of those meetings I am a deer in headlights since I only know surface level stuff that the client already knows if they were on our website.

I looked at my territory and there was one current customer, had a brief call but the buyer didnt really say anything positive. More of a "gets the job done" vibe

How do most people learn new products when they are added to your territory?

Does your company not have SOME kind of training or internal resources?! If not, that's wild and messed up.

There is typically an outdated LMS that isnโ€™t the most helpful

Usually its the LMS from the company we acquired. New for my team not new product, sorry for the confusion

Shadow other reps. Learn from your manager. Research yourself.

The only issue is its new to all the reps on my team and manager. And most research is on the company website which the client typically already knows
