Quiet Quitting

Hey friends,

Just started at a new company (a few weeks in).

It's a total dumpster fire.

I was warned but not to this degree.

Currently, I am still searching for a job on the side.

I am now debating if I get a new job to do a J1/J2.

Essentially quiet quitting the first and actually working at the second.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thoughts?

(I know get a J2 before you can think about this but I am in the process)

In layman's term, what the heck is going on? Your only two weeks in!!!! Not with you but this company. I'm very intrigued by the amount of shit that goes on in these companies.

I just quit one of my jobs today 3 weeks in because everything they told me was a lie. Some of these companies have some brass pendulous balls they way they spout the BS about how they are doing then you get in there and it is all a lie.

Like as in J1= Job 1 J2 = job 2 right. You want to be overemployed? not a awful idea.
I don't have any experience but I feel like mostly devs/product managers can get away with it. It's difficult to get away with it in sales because it's so activity/metric driven

At J1 they have no way to track our metrics and we currently have no sales enablement tools.
So they don't really know what we do throughout the day.
If I maintain the bare minimum I can milk it until something happens.
I believe it's best to look at workload at J2 before really considering this.

If the place is a dumpster fire, are you actually going to be able to make any sales?

Sounds like you already quit and know where the hourglass is. Only advice I’ve got is hurry up.

what is your definition of quiet quitting? So, once you get J2 what is your goal with J1?

I would take J1 off your linkedin if you are going to do that, act like you never worked there because you likely are burning a bridge

Everyone should always be quietly looking for their next gig. You probably shouldn’t have taken this job unless you were unemployed. Lesson learned eh.

Fail fast is definitely a thing. Landing in the wrong job happens. Don’t feel regret, just move on as quit a possible.

Ummmmm. What's the standard of "total dumpster"? And isn't 2 weeks a little too soon?
And if people warned already, what due diligence did you do ? Curious.

Get out there and quick. J2 is a necessity.
What is so bad though in that short time, the people need to know
